This is a collection of various dissertations on women’s studies written by Korean scholars. They discuss women’s issues from multidisciplinary points of view including philosophy, literature, theology, pedagogy, sociology, anthropology, law, economy and politics. The book shows the direction of the Korean feminist movement by illuminating its fundamen-tal problems. It provides a theoretic basis of the movement, hoping to arouse the dormant awareness of women so they can cultivate their potential abilities and actively participate in social progress.
