Literary Studies

Kristeva is one of the most creative stars of today. She has been publishing various books in so many different fields that it is difficult to pinpoint her field of profession. First of all she is a professor at Paris VII teaching linguistics to undergraduate students, while she also gives lectures on Proust to students in the graduate course. Her second occupation is psychoanalyst working three days of the week in a general hospital. But her primary work lies in publishing. She produces books on literary critique and psychoanalysis almost every year. Kristeva's first published work was “Semeiotike: Recherche Pour Une Semanalyse”, and her most noted work is “Revolution in Poetic Language” and “Proust and the Sense of Time”. She has also published works on Arendt, Melanie Klein the psychoanalyst, and writer Collett. She has also published “The Samurai”, “The Old Man and the Wolves”, and “Possessions”. Studying all these works is in itself an expedition, a quest and contemplation.
