This book is a collection of excerpts from 14 Korean novels and essays exploring romantic themes. They are divided into chapters on “Happiness,” “Sadness,” “Solitude” and “Discourse.” Among the authors featured are novelists Yun Yeong-su, who stresses platonic ideals of love, and Eun Hi-gyeong, who delves into sadistic and provocative aspects of love. Literary critic Kim Mi-hyeon selected and compiled the stories.
