The seventh and the last volume in the “Love Letters Series,” this book contains letters between famous Japanese writers and their lovers. The writers include Soseki Natsume, Tokoku Kitamura, Hogetsu Shimamura, Hakushu Kitahara, Junichiro Tanizaki, Ryunosuke Akutagawa and Osamu Dazai. Selection was based strictly on content and the amount of  letters available. However, all of the writers are eminent literary figures with distinguished legacies in modern Japanese literature.
